Of A Day Without Rain Enya says, "The title refers to the mood on a particularly peaceful day on which there was no rain. We do get a lot of rain in Ireland in all seasons! We had had a run of days where it had done nothing but rain. Then one day the sun came out. It was then that I wrote the title track, so what else could I call it?"
The album, of course, is another heavenly mix of ethereal vocals and lush harmonies which will not let Enya fans down. The title track opens with a subtle graceful air of expectancy, and is followed by the lilting "Wild Child." The first single from the album, "Only Time," is a sublime combination of romance and melancholy. Other highlights include the brooding gothic intensity of "Tempus Vernom," the divine "Fallen Embers" and the catchy "Lazy Days."
