I can identify with that, Yasmina. Though I’ve not seen mosquitos yet and I do favor mild winters, the other day I found myself feeling as though something were missing and I’m sure it was the snow.

To me, the quote speaks to the necessity of all sentient beings to be in touch with the gentler forces inside us. Sure, we have those yang, aggressive, motivated forces which can appear quite “lion-like”, but when we are able to simultaneously bring balance and harmony to the equally important yin, gentle gracefulness within, true openness to all this reality has to offer can be explored and experienced.

May Peace and Balance unite the hearts of all living sentient beings of this world and the worlds beyond…

I believe it means that those who feel as a lion among others ,will have to find the true innocense within themselves ,before they can find their right path of enlightenment .
Just so for the countries in this world who live in such anger and turmoil ,they must take a real look into theirselves to find where the peace needs to begin .

Thanks Lisa, for your thoughtful comments! We agree that we need to “bring it out of where it already is” and feel that this is currently happening all around us. As Light is shined upon darkness, lots of creepy-crawlies will scurry about, which can confuse/depress/sadden us as we begin to realize we’ve been living beside (and inside) such things. The key may very well be to remember to “focus on the beauty that is everywhere.” Thanks for the reminder!

I do think there is a divine presence or spark in every inch that exists in the whole world. It’s not that God needs to go somewhere, it that we need to bring it out of where it already is. Stop and smell the roses, be kind to a stranger for no reason, don’t litter or be wasteful, see the beauty that is everywhere.

As far as 11-11-11 or 11:11, it’s not really something I’ve ever noticed much (though now I’m sure I will all the time!) but I can tell you that this year only, every person alive can add their age to the last two didgets of the year they were born and it will equal 111. For example, I am 25 and was born in 1986, so 25+86=111. Try it out, it’s really amazing!

I generally define what is a “waste of time” if the time I spend is in no way, shape, or form conducive to my wellbeing. If I’m daydreaming, meditating, reading, soaking in a luxurious bubble bath, or engaged in any activity or place of “being-ness” that invokes feelings of joy and peace, it is Divine. If I’m trying to escape a feeling or situation by vegging out in front of the television for distraction, then I honor it as just that – a distraction and a waste of time until I’m ready to face whatever it is I’m not facing. This doesn’t mean that an inspirational movie is a waste of time, for again, those feelings of joy and peace are invoked and I feel generally happier after watching said movie.

A few thoughts from my perspective of reality – which is always subject to change at any moment
